In a statement, the police said that they arrested them in Bahawalpur for entering the territory without a passport and visa, where one of the accused is Prashanth who belongs to Hyderabad.

A video related to him has released on social media, which has gone viral. In the video, Prashanth appeared confident and was seen speaking in the Telugu language, where he said mummy, Daddy, how are you? I am fine here. Now I was brought to court from the police station. After confirming that there was no problem, they brought me here.

From here they will send me to jail. Then, they will inform the Indian Embassy, after which I can contact you. Within one month's time I will be released from the jail, Prashanth said. As part of the prisoner's exchanged program between India and Pakistan, I will be released. Prashanth tried to assure his parents that once the Indian Embassy gets the information, the bail process will begin.

While Pak authorities were video tapping them, he requested them by asking "Are you recording? Can I speak in my mother tongue and started to talk. After completing his message, he thanked the officials. Along with Prashanth, another Indian Dharilal from Madhya Pradesh is also under Pak custody.
