Jagtial: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants the homeless poor to live in double bedroom houses with self-respect, stated Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar.

Along with Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar, ZP chairperson Dava Vasantha Suresh and District Collector G Ravi, Minister Eshwar inaugurated 65 newly constructed double bedroom houses at Nookapalli village in Choppadandi constituency on Thursday. Houses were allotted by taking lottery with the children in the auditorium. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said CM KCR would soon launch a new scheme and provide financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh to those, who have land, to build houses. In last year budget, the CM had allocated Rs 11,000 crore for the construction of double-bedroom houses, he informed.

The 2BHK houses at Nookapalli were constructed with 100 percent vasthu at a cost of Rs 3.27 crore and the houses were given to people as Dasara gift, Eshwar said adding that if there are CMs like KCR in all the States in the country in the past, the State and the country would have developed long ago.

The Chief Minister was developing the State by utilising the resources available and development and welfare programmes were like two eyes for the State government, Minister Eshwar said. MLA Ravishankar said he was happy that as a people's representative he was able to ensure development and welfare of the people in the constituency with the programmes being implemented by Chief Minister KCR.
