Karimnagar: By ignoring the farmers who will feed the nation, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is supporting the corporate companies, alleged the State secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Chada Venkat Reddy.

The CPI party leaders and activists tried to burn the effigy of PM Modi, but the police stopped them.

Later, the CPI leaders staged a dharna in support of the farmers' protest here at Kaman chowrasta in Karimnagar district on Saturday. Reddy alleged that being in power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is creating problems for the people in the country by bringing the anti-people, farmers' and workers' bills.

When the farmers of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat states are staging protests from the past few days to suspend the agricultural Bills in New Delhi, why was he not able to solve their problems, he questioned.

Modi is trying to dissolve several government organisations to hand over the country's wealth to the corporate companies and multinational companies, the CPI State secretary alleged and said that he is trying to dissolve the agriculture sector and creating problems for the farmers who feed the nation. In the name of discussion, the BJP government is trying to cut the time and already some of the farmers committed suicide and if it delays further, then he should be responsible for further consequences, he warned.

The farmers' union has given a call for Bharat Bandh on December 8. He made an appeal and stated that to make the bandh a grand success, the farmers' unions along with village, mandal and district level committee members must participate in large numbers to support the farming sector.

CPI leaders P Kedari, K Srujan Kumar, A Swamy, B Ashok, N Jyothi, G Lakhsmi, T Sammaiah, K Surendar Reddy, B Raji Reddy, N Lakshma Reddy, G Vasudev, B Thirupathi, M Srinivas Reddy, K Buchanna, P Komuraiah, A Chinna Swamy, G Sampath, N Vakula Devi, M Lakshmaiah, M Rajaiah, G Rajesham and Kanaka Lakshmi were present along with others.
