BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao stated that the passing of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy is an irreparable loss to the party and in personal. He expressed deep shock at Peddi's death and voiced his anguish over losing a close friend and a comrade-in-arms from the movement.

KCR recalled memories of walking alongside him during the movement in Warangal district a region known as a bastion of struggles—during the final phase of the fight for Telangana statehood. He hailed Sudarshan Reddy as a braveheart who fought with unwavering courage and hoisted the BRS 'Pink Flag' on the soil of Narsampet.

KCR assured the bereaved family that the party would stand by them in their time of grief.

Peddi Sudharshan Reddy who was hospitalised on 26 July after complaining heart attack and shifted to Yashoda hospital in Hyderabad. However, the BRS leader was pronounced dead on Friday leaving everyone in shock.
