Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday night returned to Hyderabad from New Delhi without meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Source said that the CM could not meet Modi as he was busy attending public meetings all day in the poll-bound Jharkhand state.

The PMO also said that the meeting with the Prime Minister on Wednesday will not be possible since the central cabinet is scheduled to meet, and the Prime Minister will be busy.

Officials said that KCR attended the marriage of Power Finance Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Sharma's family member on Tuesday before leaving for Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, KCR's Delhi visit drew strong criticism from political parties and social organisations after national media telecast a news story saying that the Chief Minister refused to make any comment on why he did not visit Disha's family members so far.

The TRS leaders here, however, reacted saying that the Chief Minister knows when to meet whom. They said the opposition parties which had lost their base here were trying to politicise the unfortunate happening, they said.
