Khammam: Former MLC and BJP State Core Committee member Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy appealed to the Central government to protect the historical temple of Lord Rama in Bhadrachalam. On Wednesday, he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding this issue and released the details to the media.

Stating that the historical temple of Lord Rama is going into troubles due to the back waters of Polavaram Irrigation project, he appealed to the Prime Minister to save the historical temple, which was built by the great devotee of Bhakta Ramadas. He alleged that Ministers of Jal Shakti and Environment and Forest departments are not taking measures to safeguard the temple and the areas where Lord Rama visited.

Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy requested the Ministers concerned to protect and promote the history of Lord Ayodhya Rama and Seetha Rama Swamy of Bhadrachalam by taking measures.

He asked to set up a comprehensive museum of Lord Rama of Bhadrachalam at the newly built Ayodhya temple. Sudhakar Reddy appealed to the Prime Minister to visit the historical temple of Lord Rama once and seek Lord blessings.
