Khammam: BJP Core Committee member and former MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded the government to convene an all-party meeting to discuss Pothireddypadu issue.
Addressing the media persons here on Wednesday, he condemned the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's statement that for the needs of Rayalaseema districts, along with Nellore, Prakasham districts, they would draw water from Srisailam reservoir at 800 ft level, which is against the existing awards, law, acts. He said the whole south of Telangana will become a desert.
Reddy demanded the State government to call an all-party meeting to discuss the Krishna water issues related to TS and AP, including GO 203. He appealed to all the public representatives, including south Telangana Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs to come forward to protect the rights of Krishna water to south TS projects, including drinking water scheme for Hyderabad.
