KTR attends Nampally ACB court in Formula -E car race case, hearing adjourned to 25 August

The ACB Special Court has adjourned the next hearing in the Formula E-car race case to August 25. KTR (Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Accused No. 1), along with IAS officer Arvind Kumar (Accused No. 2) and former HMDA Chief Engineer B.L.N. Reddy, appeared before the Nampally Court on Friday morning.

Former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Mahmood Ali, MLA Kaushik Reddy, BRS leader R.S. Praveen Kumar, and a large number of party workers accompanied KTR, leading to a temporary traffic jam in the vicinity of the Nampally Court.

Allegations state that over ₹55 crore was spent from HMDA funds for the Formula E race, track construction, and other related expenses. The ACB contends that these expenditures were made without maintaining official records in an attempt to evade an audit. It is further alleged that costs spanning three seasons were attributed to a single race to bypass the requirement for Cabinet approval.
