Warangal: In what is termed as a courageous act, a 38-year-old man who accidentally fell from moving train and got his intestines ripped open from stomach managed to trudge 11 km to get medical care is fighting for his life at MGM Hospital. The incident occurred near Hasanparthy railway station, 8 km from Warangal city.

Sunil Chauhan, who was on his way to Nellore from Hussainabad in Uttar Pradesh in Sanghamitra Express, was standing at the door when he accidentally slipped and fell from the running train in the early hours of Monday. None of the passengers including his brother Praveen noticed the incident.

Even though his stomach was ripped open and intestines popped out, Sunil walked 11 km along the track before Hasanparthy station master Sanjay Kumar Patel noticed him and called for ambulance. He was admitted to the MGM hospital in Warangal where he underwent a major surgery.

The doctors who treated him said that they had performed a surgery on Sunil. It is learnt that the condition of Sunil who is in ICU is stable. Sunil and his brother were going to Nellore in search of livelihood.

Sunil, who also lost his phone during the fall shoved the intestines inside and tied his shirt around his stomach.
