Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha member Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, who shot to fame by launching 'Green India Challenge' has donated Rs 2 lakh to a blind school.

Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday, Santosh donated Rs 2 lakh towards welfare of the disabled persons at the Devnar Foundation for Blind in Hyderabad.

The leader personally handed over the cheque to the foundation authorities. In a tweet, the TRS MP called for upholding the legitimate rights, well-being and self-esteem of the specially abled persons.

"As we observe the International Day for differently abled persons today, Personally donating Rs 2 lakh to Devnar Foundation for Blind, Begumpet in Hyderabad.

I urge you all for upholding their legitimate rights, well-being and self-esteem," his tweet read.
