Positive cases in Telangana touch 1,661
Infected migrants close to a century mark
Hyderabad: Migrants testing positive for Covid-19 is nearing one hundred mark even as 27 new cases were reported in the state on Wednesday. Among the fresh cases, 15 are from GHMC limits while the remaining 12 are migrants.
Till now 89 migrants who returned from various states to their native districts in Telangana tested positive. These migrants have roots in districts like Yadadri-Bhongir, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Jagtial, Karimnagar etc. Two deaths and two discharges were also reported in the state on Wednesday.
The two dead persons were both from the city. While one was an 81- year-old male from Chandrayanagutta, the other was a 61-year-old male from Motinagar. Both had co-morbidity issues, health officials said.
