Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia paid to deceased home guard's family
An ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh was paid to the wife of M Brahma Chary, who died while discharging his election duties on December 2018.
Hyderabad: An ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh was paid to the wife of M Brahma Chary, who died while discharging his election duties on December 2018.
Anjani Kumar, City Police Commissioner said, late M Brahma Chary, was appointed as a home guard in 2004 and worked in various places and maintained a good record. He died while attending his election duties at a polling booth in the limits of Chilkalguda police station on 8 December, 2018.
Further a case was registered and legal heirs of late M Brahma Chary became eligible for the ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakh sanctioned from the District Election Officer, Hyderabad and Commissioner, GHMC.
Accordingly, M Varalakshmi, wife of the deceased become beneficiary and she was paid with an amount of Rs10 lakhs through online transfer on September 18.
