Sarpanches boycott all-party meeting in Mahbubnagar
The group of Sarpanches from various gram panchayats who were scheduled to participate in an all-party meeting on Monday in Jadcherla mandal had boycotted the meeting as a mark of protest against the attitude of officials.
Mahbubnagar: The group of Sarpanches from various gram panchayats who were scheduled to participate in an all-party meeting on Monday in Jadcherla mandal had boycotted the meeting as a mark of protest against the attitude of officials.
The Sarpanches took on against the erring officials who do not follow proper timing and who care least about the suggestions and directions of the Sarpanches. "We are fed up with the attitude of the officials, both from the Revenue and the Panchayat Raj departments. They have never heeded to our request and suggestions, and take unilateral decisions against the people's needs and aspirations.Today, not a single official turned up for the meeting. As a park of protest, we are boycotting further meetings with the officials and will complaint the same to the District Collector," said a Sarpanch, protesting against the attitude of the officials concerned.
