Secunderabad: In order to contain the spread of COVID-19, the South Central Railway (SCR) took up floor marking for queuing up at reservation offices, booking counters and ATVMs. SCR has instructed public to maintain social distance while travelling by trains.

Towards this, the zone has taken up work to paint/stick floor markings at PRS(Passenger Reservation System) Offices, General Ticket Booking Offices/Counters, ATVM's (Automatic Ticket Vending Machines), Parcel Offices etc., at major railway stations which handle heavy footfalls. The brightly coloured floor marking strips would ensure queue system with a safe distance of one metre among waiting passengers. Further, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and railway staff have been undertaking the task of educating and pursuading rail users to follow the social distance drill in the interests of community good. Announcements are being made on the Public Address system to serve the objective.
