Seized bike stolen from police station, cops clueless
A youngster’s bike was stolen by somebody which was seized by the Tolichowki traffic police and kept it under their possession at Bapu Ghat Ramalayam Temple ground
Hyderabad: A youngster's bike was stolen by somebody which was seized by the Tolichowki traffic police and kept it under their possession at Bapu Ghat Ramalayam Temple ground.
According to the victim B Vishnu Goud (24), a resident of Bansilalpet in Secunderabad, he along with his friend Bala Narasimha (17) on February 28 was travelling from Chilkur to Sec underabad on his bike.
When they reached Langer Houz petrol bunk area at 10:30 pm, Tolichowki traffic police stopped them and subjected them to undergo blood alcohol test in which biker Bala Narasimha found drunken and police seized the bike.
They asked them to attend the counselling on March 1, and later to appear at Nampally Court on March 5 and 13. Subsequently they told them to attend the conselling on March 20 and 27.
After attending all these formalities and after paying the fine,with the slip of "please release the Pulsar M/C NO. TS1DEF 6828', the victim along with his friend reached Bapu Ghat Ramalayam Temple Ground where his bike was kept under police surveillance.
The victim Vishnu Goud and his friend Bala Narasimha were shocked to see that their bike was not there. When they informed the officials they too searched the vehicle in the ground and enquired the security about the bike on March 27.
The victim in tension complained to the Tolichowki traffic inspector Ch Shanker Reddy and questioned him on bike disappearance.
Even after visiting so many times he was unable to get his bike till Thursday. The victim said that he purchased the bike for Rs 1.10 lakh financed by a private company in 2015 and facing travelling problems due to the negligence of Tolichowki traffic police.
He is planning to meet the Additional Police Commissioner, Traffic, Anil Kumar to get justice. Meanwhile, reacting on the bike theft incident, Tolichowki traffic Inspector Ch Shanker Reddy said a case was registered in Langer Houz police station and they are also searching for the bike.
After getting complaint from the victim, they searched the vehicle out of 160 vehicles in the ground and unable to find it. They are also verifying the CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
Inspector said three guards in shifts are guarding the vehicles round the clock and there is no negligence occurred by them.
