Peddapalli: BJP district unit president Kasipeta Lingaiah on Tuesday demanded the government to solve all the local issues pertaining to Manthini Municipality.
The BJP leaders staged dharna in front of the Manthini Municipality in protest against the negligent behavior of the municipal officials who are not taking any initiation in solving of issues under the municipality limits.
Speaking on the occasion, the BJP district president Kasipeta Lingaiah alleged that the water which is supplied for drinking needs is not pure and people are suffering with diseases by drinking the water.
There are no street lights at various places and people finding it hard to reach their homes during night hours. The drains are filled with large amounts of silt and are emitting foul smell. In some colonies, monkeys are causing problem and people are afraid to come out of their houses, he alleged.
On number of occasion, the issues are taken to the notice of municipal officials, but they are not in a mood to solve them.
He demanded the government to take immediate steps for solving the various issues which are mentioned along with closing slaughter house in Ambedkar Nagar and to send all the cows which are found on the streets to Goshalas. Otherwise, the BJP will intensify the agitation to teach the government a fitting lesson, he warned.
BJP leaders Ch.Satish, Sabbani Santosh, B.Narayana, L Shankar, A Sadashiva, N Rajesh, N Krishna, V.Raju, A.Mallesham, N.Anand, Pramode, Ajay, Praveen, Sagar, Ruthwik and Harshavardan were present.
