Gadwal: A review meeting on drug control and prevention measures was held under the auspices of Telangana Eagle Force at the District SP office in Jogulamba Gadwal district headquarters on Tuesday to discuss preventive measures for youth and students from falling prey to drugs, curbing drug use and trafficking, and increasing the participation of all sections of the police department towards achieving the goal of a drug-free India.
Telangana Eagle Force SP PV Padmaja said that there is a need to see the drug problem not just as a policing issue but as a social responsibility related to the safety of future generations. He suggested that educational institutions, parents, police department, voluntary organizations and people should work in coordination so that the youth do not get attracted to drugs.
SP Rao added that the police department is giving priority to eradicating drugs in the district.
He said that awareness, monitoring and preventive measures need to be implemented more effectively at the level of educational institutions to protect students and youth from the effects of drugs.
