Hyderabad: Telangana registered another Covid-19 positive case for the third consecutive day on Monday taking the total count to four. The fourth infected person, a middle-aged man, has a travel history from Scotland. The middle-aged man is of Indian origin and had come to the city to visit his relatives.

The flow of Covid-19 suspected cases continued in Gandhi hospital, where 19 people with related symptoms were admitted to the hospital and their samples were collected on Monday.

Out of the 19 suspected, thirteen persons visited Karimnagar, including ten Indonesian. They were initially kept in an isolation ward at Government Hospital, but all of them were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for further testing and assessment.

Authorities are awaiting results of 22 samples in all, sent for testing on Monday. Health Minister Eatala Rajender stated that directions have been given to the police, to file cases against those circulating rumours about coronavirus positive cases on social media.

On the other hand, the minister spoke to the three virus-infected patients and their family members over phone on Monday evening and assured them of support from the health department.

He enquired about treatment and facilities being provided at Gandhi Hospital and later spoke to the hospital Superintendent directing him to provide good facilities including hygienic food, ensure hygiene and clean toilets in the isolation wards.
