Telangana to receive heavy rains for a week amid low pressure Rea in Bay of Bengal

The Meteorological Department has stated that there are high chances of rains in the range of heavy to very heavy in the Telangana for a week starting from today (Sunday) because of the formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal that may get intensified during the process. An alert code called the Yellow Alert has been issued for 24 districts of Telangana in this context.

According to the Meteorological Department, the gusty winds ranging 40-50 kmph with thunderstorms and lightning likely throughout the state today. The list of the districts for which an alert has been issued is Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Khmmmam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Jangaon, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Medchal, Hyderabad, Medak, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.

It is being informed by the meteorologists that there are chances of receiving heavy rainfall in various districts of the state on Monday (tomorrow).
