The Hyderabad Commissionerate North Zone Task Force sleuths on Friday arrested two accused by name Virender Singh (38) and Velu Srinivas Nair (50) for indulging in illegal possession and selling ganja.

Hyderabad : The Hyderabad Commissionerate North Zone Task Force sleuths on Friday arrested two accused by name Virender Singh (38) and Velu Srinivas Nair (50) for indulging in illegal possession and selling ganja.

The sleuths seized 1.5 Kg ganja and 2 cell phones from their possession. According to sleuths the prime accused Virender is a habitual ganja peddler in Mangalhat police station limits and with the help of his associate Srinivas selling ganja to the known and needy customers clandestinely and gaining illegal easy money.

They used to purchase ganja from ganja traffickers on lowest price of Rs 4,000 per kg and packing in 10 grams each and use to sell the ganja sachets for Rs 200 each to known, needy customers and habitual consumers clandestinely.

The sleuths on Friday caught them while they were selling the ganja sachets to needy customers near a nursing home in Chilkalguda.

The accused along with the seized material were handed over to Chilkalguda Police for further investigation.
