Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the removal of Ambedkar statue from Panjagutta.
Speaking to the media, Rao asked the chief minister as to why he is not permitting to erect Ambedkar statue. He also said that it is a shameful act to lock up the statue in a room in the pretext of election code is in place. He also lashed out the Dalit leaders in the TRS party for being tight-lipped.
Congress leaders RC Kuntia and former MP Harsha Kumar extended support to Hanumantha Rao.
