Hyderabad: A video doing rounds on social media has put safety of woman at question again. In the now viral video, a man in an inebriated state can be seen clicking pictures of women in a metro train bound from Secunderabad to Tarnaka.

This incident reportedly happened on Sunday.

Reacting to the video, Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N V S Reddy clarified that the person in video seems not that drunk but more pretentious to be drunk for attention seeking.

Persons in inebriated condition are usually prevented by our security from boarding the train. "In fact, I get a lot of requests and representations to be a bit liberal to allow passengers who consumed limited alcohol to travel by metro as drink driving is not allowed by police in city.

The other day I got an NRI group calling on me with a similar request as world over this is allowed as long as they don't create nuisance" he added.

He also said in the video that person stood firmly took a video of himself and by the time some passengers complained at the next station, he got down and slipped away.

A WhatsApp facility will be made available soon for commuters to make instant complaints so that such persons can be caught and detained, he added.
