Warangal: Forty persons, who were on their way back home after their pilgrimage in north India, have been shifted to MGM Hospital in Warangal from Adilabad on Sunday.

According to reports, 40 pilgrims - six from Guntur, 14 from Khammam and 20 from Hyderabad - went to north India tour weeks ago.

With the government cancelling all the trains in view of coronavirus scare, the group had engaged a private bus from Uttar Pradesh. The police obstructed them when their bus entered Adilabad on Sunday afternoon.

Noticing some of the travellers suffering from cough and fever, the local police suggested them to undergo medical check-up at MGM hospital.

The police alerted the MGM authorities and Warangal police. Following which, the police reportedly sounded a high alert in the neighbouring districts.

The doctors admitted the travellers to the isolation ward at the MGM hospital and started due procedure. The bus driver and cleaner were also admitted to the isolated ward.
