In a shocking incident, a newly-married couple attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at a hotel located on the outskirts of Bhongir town on Tuesday.
Yadadri-Bhongir: In a shocking incident, a newly-married couple attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at a hotel located on the outskirts of Bhongir town on Tuesday. In this incident, the husband, Alakuntla Swamy, died on the spot, where as his wife Shivaratri Uma is struggling for life at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. Both of them are natives of Jangareddypally of Valigonda mandal in the district.
They got married on February 16 against their families wishes. Stating threat from their family members, the couple complained at Ghatkesar police station of Medchal district and urged the cops to provide security to them. Meanwhile, Swamy's parents alleging that Uma's family members murdered their son, demanded action against them. Local police registered a case and took up the investigation.
