October 9, Lucknow: The Noida International Airport being developed in Jewar will receive a new identity in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Yogi Cabinet on Friday passed a proposal to name the airport “Narendra Modi International Airport Noida Jewar.” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the decision during a press conference at the Lok Bhawan Media Centre, attended by both Deputy Chief Ministers and allies of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He said that with the efforts of Prime Minister Modi, Uttar Pradesh is moving towards becoming the country’s largest aviation hub.
The Chief Minister said the Council of Ministers has passed a special resolution to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year-long uninterrupted journey of public service as the head of government. The Prime Minister completed 25 years of this journey on October 7. He said that the Prime Minister is leading the country as a Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh. When he came to Kashi in 2014, he had said that he had been called by Mother Ganga. This emotional connection that began in Kashi has become the foundation for the development of the state.
From Insecurity to an Investment Destination
Chief Minister Yogi said that before 2017, the state was struggling with administrative laxity, insecurity and a lack of basic facilities. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, a transparent and technology-driven governance system was adopted. Law and order improved, creating an environment conducive to investment. 42 National Highways Built at a Cost of ₹60,000 Crore
According to the Chief Minister, the state has constructed 42 national highways spanning 2,483 kilometres at an estimated cost of 60,000 crore. Completed expressways include Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun, Delhi–Meerut and Kanpur—Lucknow. The Delhi-Ghaziabad -Merut Namo Bharat route has also started, with a budget of over $30,000 crore. BrahMos Unit and PM MITRA Park Boost Industrial Expansion

₹1 Lakh Crore Transferred to Accounts of 30 Million Farmers
Over three crore farmers have received more than 1 lakh crore in accounts under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, as stated by Chief Minister Yogi. 8.6 million small and marginal farmers have been granted loans that can be waived. A total of over 13.42 lakh crore in crop loans have been granted through 5.50 crm Kisan Credit Cards. More than 3.30 lakh crore has been paid to sugarcane farmers, while 79.51 lakh have received compensation for crop losses.
Housing for 6.5 Million Families, Free Ration for 150 Million People
The Chief Minister said more than 6.5 million poor families have received houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Around 150 million people belonging to 3.67 crore ration-card-holder families are being provided free ration. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water connections have been provided to 2.46 crore rural households. A total of 3.37 crore toilets and 59,183 community toilets have been constructed. Under the Ujjwala scheme, 1.86 crore free LPG connections have been provided. The state government is also providing free LPG cylinders during Holi and Diwali.
Free Treatment Worth ₹18,798 Crore Through Ayushman Scheme
The state has already received over six crore Ayushman cards, as reported by the Chief Minister. This gives health coverage to more than 9.90 crore people. A sum of 18,798 crore has been allocated for free treatment to patients who are seriously ill, exceeding 1.09 crore. A total of 14.67 crore people have been treated at health fairs. 950,000 Government Jobs, Smartphones and Tablets for 62 Million
Over 9.50 lakh government jobs have been created in the state, as per Chief Minister Yogi, while 65 million individuals have secured private sector jobs. Over 62 lakh young people have received smartphones and tablets, while 31.11 lakh youngsters are currently being trained. New opportunities have been created for athletes through the establishment of the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, a state-of-the-art sports complex in Kashi, and the National Centre of Excellence.
One Crore Women Join Self-Help Groups
The Chief Minister stated that over one crore women have become members of 10 lakh self-help groups. 15 lakh street vendors have been helped by the PM SVANidhi scheme, while 1.10 crore rural families have received property cards under the SVAMITVA scheme. A 10% reservation was made for economically weaker sections, while the Other Backward Classes Commission was given constitutional status under the Prime Minister's leadership.
ODOP Gains Global Recognition, UP Leads in Agricultural Production
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister presented Kashi’s Gulabi Meenakari to the US President, Nizamabad’s black pottery to the Japanese Prime Minister and Kannauj perfume to the French President. Lucknow’s Zardozi craft has also gained international recognition. Uttar Pradesh is a leading producer of food grains, milk, sugarcane, mangoes, amla and millets.
Cultural Renaissance from Ram Temple to Kashi Vishwanath Dham
The Chief Minister said that with the efforts of the Prime Minister, the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla was held in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham was expanded. The idol of Goddess Annapurna and Buddhist remains from Piprahwa were brought back from abroad. More than 66 crore devotees attended the Maha Kumbh. Events and initiatives such as the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Buddhist Circuit, Sant Ravidas birthplace, Chaura Chaura Centenary celebrations and Rashtra Prerna Sthal have given the state’s heritage a new identity. Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya and Chaudhary Charan Singh were honoured with the Bharat Ratna.
Reaffirms Commitment to Viksit Bharat-2047
Chief Minister Yogi said that while honouring the Prime Minister’s 25-year journey of public service, the Council of Ministers has reiterated its commitment to building a developed Uttar Pradesh and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047. The government will work with full commitment towards achieving this goal.
