Guntur : BJP state former president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that reforms implemented by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the farm sector are useful to the farmers.
He garlanded portrait of late prime minister AB Vajpayee and paid tributes on the occasion of his 96th birth anniversary celebrations held at BJP Guntur district office on Friday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had implemented several welfare schemes and provided facility to sell the agriculture yield anywhere in the country without paying marketing cess. He alleged that unable to face Narendra Modi, the opposition parties are supporting farmers' agitation to get political mileage.
He said the latter has taken steps to get a better price to the farmers. He urged the youth to draw inspiration from AB Vajpayee who had implemented several reforms in the education and developed the highways.
He recalled that the latter had taken steps to develop national highways in the country to develop road transport and had set up Sarva Sikha Abhiyan and brought revolution in the telecom sector and nuclear test at Pokhran. BJP district president Patibandla Rama Krishna, party leaders Yelchuri Venkateswarulu, Eemani Madhava Reddy, Borugadda Bullibabu were among those present.
