Vijayawada: SBI launches food donation programme
Vijayawada: State Bank of India in association with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) launched 10-day food donation programme at the Benz circle and Krishnalanka on Monday.
Food served to poor and the migrant workers at the two places. State Bank of India administrative office deputy general manager Y Satyanarayana Prasad and his wife Jalaja participated in the food donation programme in Krishnalanka.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGM said the SBI earlier conducted many programmes during the lockdown period. He said the SBI has donated sanitizers and masks to the police personnel attending the Covid-19 lockdown duties.
He said earlier the SBI donated groceries to 1500 poor people living in Machavaram, Bavajipeta, Yanamalakuduru, Pedapulipaka and Ramavarappadu. ISKCON public relation officer V Krishna Das, SBI PRO Umamaheswara Rao and others were present in the programme.
