Candidates file papers for local polls

Tandur: Candidates filed nominations for MPTC and ZPTC elections in Yalal, Basheerbad and Peddemul mandal MPDO offices on Friday. Municipal and ZP chairperson candidate Sunitha Sampath, along with MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, filed her nomination at Yalal MPDO office. Dara Singh filed his nomination for Peddemul ZPTC seat.

Srishail Reddy filed his nomination for Basheerbad ZPTC seat. District BJP vice president and senior leader Balesh Guptha joined Congress in the presence of Rohith Reddy and the party has confirmed Peddemul MPP seat to Guptha. On the other hand, Yalal BJP president Veerappa has joined TRS in the presence of former Minister Mahender Reddy.
