Water enters houses as rains choke nalas

Kukatpally: The nalas in Vasanthnagar, Bhagat Singh Nagar - Phase I and VI, Diamond Estate Colonies of division 114 were blocked with garbage, on account of the rain on Sunday night. Consequently, rain water entered apartments' cellars causing severe inconvenience to the residents.

Local Corporator Mandadi Srinivas Rao toured the colonies, along with GHMC Engineering officials. Rao directed them to desilt the nalas and clear garbage to ensure free passage of water.

Among those who accompanied the corporator were DE Rupadevi, AE Saiprasad, TRS division predient Saibabu Chowdary , welfare association members Nageswara Rao, Subba Rao, Santosh Goud, Ilayya, Madhu, Sambasiva Rao and Vidya Rao.
