Civic chief J Nivas inspects social summit arrangements

Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner J Nivas made a field level inspection of the arrangements at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium for the guest and audiences who come for the Social Summit and Award Function.

As part of the city inspection, the Commissioner on Friday visited IGM Stadium and inspected the premises to provide all facilities to the guests and the audience, provide water and toilet facilities. 

He enquired with the officials about the ongoing work and gave a few suggestions to the officials as Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other cabinet ministers along with fans and audience would come in huge number to the function.

Later, the Commissioner visited a few streets of division 17 which was transformed as bin-less division and observed the garbage segregation by the workers in that area.

Chief medical officer Dr K Arjuna Rao, health officer Dr Iqbal Hussain, Sports officer Shekar, DE Koteswara Rao and others accompanied him.
