5,411 cases against traffic violators: SP Vikrant Patil

Chittoor: District SP Vikrant Patil said 5,411 cases were booked against traffic rule violators from November 1 to 8. 

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, the SP stated a special drive was taken up to curb traffic related violations. 

He advised commuters not to drive bikes without wearing helmets and cars without strapping seat belts. 

In a week-long drive, cops registered 424 drunken driving cases and sent 11 accused to jail.
