Stolen bag containing pistol found

Tirupati: A gunman bag containing his pistol and ammunition was stolen in the railway station here on Wednesday but was later found in the RTC bus station much to the relief of him and the police searching for it. Sankar Rao, the gunman of Gajapathinagaram MLA Appala Naidu in Vizianagaram district came here by train this morning and was taking rest in the railway station passenger’s restroom.

After some time, he found the bag containing the pistol and ammunition was missing. Following his complaint in the East Police Station, cops launched a search which ultimately led to the recovery of the bag which was found abandoned at Edukondalu bus station in RTC Central Bus Station Complex here. He was here to accompany Gajapathinagaram MLA, who came by flight to the pilgrim city, police sources said.
