Citizen’s body seek electric crematorium

 Ongole: The Ongole Citizen Association is demanding that the authorities install an electric crematorium at the Mahaprasthanam near RTC Bus Stand in the town.

The association president, Kolla Madhu said that the government is modernising the crematoriums of all religions in the state and they are appreciating it. 

But in Ongole, he said that the burial ground is in the center of the town and is in middle of housing area and just beside the hospitals, schools and restaurants. 

He complained that when a body is buried or set fire on the pyre, the smell is very disturbing to the neighboring people and patients in the hospitals. He said that the local public representatives have promised to install an electric crematorium at the Mahaprasthanam long ago, but didn’t followed it up.

Madhu said that the situations turned very bad now and demanded that the authorities install the electric cremation system in the Mahaprasthanam near the bus stand and save the public living and doing businesses around it.
