DGP R P Thakur inaugurates Stree Sakthi teams

Vijayawada: DGP R P Thakur flagged off the Sthree Sakthi teams in Vijayawada on Monday. A total of 70 women force have been appointed to keep close watch at important junctions in the city to check eve teasing and chain snatchings.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said the Sthree Sakthi teams keep patrolling in 14 vehicles. He further said the Sakthi teams would be formed in other parts of the State based on the response. He said the Sakthi teams would help the women in distress.
