1 held; 67 red sanders logs seized

Chittoor: The Pakala police seized a lorry carrying 67 red sanders logs at Damalacheruvu crossroads on Tuesday while conducting vehicle checks in the early hours.

Speaking to the media here, Additional SP K Krishnarjuna Rao said police nabbed driver Prabhu (26), a resident of Vellore, Tamil Nadu State and another smuggler has managed to escape.

He announced rewards for police personnel, who were involved in seizure of red sanders logs and smuggler. DSPs Ramanjaneyulu, Giridhar and other police officials were present.
