Paintings combining nature, everyday life on display

Spaces for quiet introspection, the paintings of young artist Tavleen Kaur Lall are a unique combination of everyday life, nature and chaotic minds. They are exhibited in her first-ever solo show at Triveni Kala Sangam here.

"Saar Garbhit", a show of Lall's recent works, presents art that seeks to go beyond what is visible to the eye, and capture the "aura" of nature.
"As a child I spent vast amounts of time outdoors submerged in the natural world. Even indoors, I sat and looked outside at trees, ants, cats and dogs, light and shadow," she said in a note.

Although, in the process of growing up, many tend to disconnect with their natural roots, for Lall, the process of painting -- one "of spontaneity, patience, observance and then reacting with that inner state of mind", led her forms and colours to flow on canvases.

Combining various art elements through abstract painting, Lall discovered a whole new dimension of things beyond the tangible and extracted "infinite out of the finite".

Admiring Lall's free use of forms and vivid colours, and trying to ‘read' them through the thread of a story, the viewers are bound to dive into their own memories, dreams and unconscious mind -- just as Lall did while creating them.
