Weekend extravaganza

Shilparamam Arts, Crafts and Cultural Society organised various cultural activities on the eve of ‘Karthika Masam’ on its premises recently on Saturday. The cultural activities began with rendering Kuchipudi dance by disciples of Oleti Rangamani from Abhinaya Dharpana Arts Academy of Hyderabad. The group performed various pieces in Kuchipudi to praise Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva and mesmerised the audience with their flawless dance moves.

They performed ‘Dashavataram’, ‘Madhurastakam’, ‘Sandhya Thandavam’, ‘Simha Nandini’, ‘Annamacharya Keerthanalu’, ‘Thillana’ and more. The group managed to maintain the audience engaged till the end with their great dancing skills.

On Sunday, Swara Bharathi Foundation enthralled the audience by rendering various dance items in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. The group performed for ‘Ganapati’, ‘Brahmanjali’, ‘Gajananam’, ‘Sharada Stuti’ in Kuchipudi and ‘Pushpanjali’, ‘Nartana Ganapatim’, ‘Thillana’, ‘Alaripu’ in Bharatanatyam and enthralled the audience. Earlier, Bharatiya Kala Samskruti conducted a special programme ‘Sangeetha Aradhana’ and attracted the spectators.
