Harish Rao all praise for Bhadrakali bund in Warangal
Warangal: Bhadrakali Lake promenade being developed under the National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), the Centre's ambitious project aimed at holistic development of heritage cities, could well be a major tourist attraction, former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao said.
He visited Bhadrakali bund on Tuesday and said that he came to see the developmental works that enhance the beauty of Warangal city. Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) chairman Marri yadava Reddy, who accompanied Harish Rao, apprised him of the developmental works being taken at Bhadrakali bund.
"KUDA chairman told me that the work on bund would be completed before Bathukamma festival," Harish Rao said. The bund would surely become a spot for film shootings, he said. The former minister planted a sapling on the occasion. Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil, CMO OSD Deshapathy Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Khaja Sirajuddin, Municipal Commissioner N Ravi Kiran were among others present.
