Keep office surroundings neat, clean: Karimnagar Collector Sarfaraz

Karimnagar: The offices of various departments present in the Collectorate must be kept clean and tidy, ordered District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, who participated in Swachh Bharat programme in the Collectorate premises here on Friday. Joint Collector Shyam Prasad Lal, District Revenue Officer Praveenya, Collectorate Administration Officer Raj Kumar and officials of various departments have participated in Swachh Bharat programme and cleaned the Collectorate premises.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the officials of various departments must not wait for someone to come and clean the office and must start cleaning their offices as part of Swachh Bharat. The officers should direct the staff to maintain the surroundings of their offices neat and clean and they should drain any stagnated water in the premises and also must spray bleaching power to prevent spread of mosquitoes, he added. The officials were told not to use materials made of plastic and ordered them to strictly avoid using plastic. Instead, he advised them to use items made with perishable and degradable material like with paper or cloth.

City Municipal Commissioner Venugopal Reddy, TNGOs district president M Jagadishwar and officials of various departments participated in Swachh Bharat programme.
