Mayor, deputy mayor elected unanimously in Karimnagar

TRS candidates Sunil Rao has been elected as Mayor unanimously of Karimangar municipal corporation while Challa Swaroopa elected unanimously as deputy mayor.

The election for mayor and deputy mayor has been conducted after the swearing-in ceremony of the councillors. The mayor and deputy mayor have been declared unanimous by the joint collector Syam Prasad Rao as the 13 BJP leaders after the swearing-in ceremony of the councillors.

Out of the total 60 seats in Karimnagar, TRS secured 33 seats, 13 by BJP, seven by MIM, seven by independent candidates. However, all the independent candidates joined TRS later.
