94 red sanders logs seized, 9 held in Tirupati
The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel took nine smugglers into custody and seized 94 logs from them.
Tirupati: The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel took nine smugglers into custody and seized 94 logs from them.
According to RSASTF DSP Alla Baksh, the task force team led by RSI SJV Satyanarayana raided the hideout at Kummarapalle in Renigunta mandal in the early hours of Monday based on a specific information.
Smugglers were ready to transport 94 red sanders logs to Chennai from Kummarapalle in a four-wheeler. Apart from red sanders logs, the police seized three bikes.
Smugglers were identified as C Sravan Kumar, V Delhi Babu, M Mallikarujuna Reddy, K Suresh Kumar, E Rajesh, K Prabhakar Reddy, J Sanjeev, G Srinivasulu and P Muneshwar.
RSASTF IG M Kantha Rao and SP Ravisankar have visited the crime spot and appreciated the police personnel, who have actively involved in the raid. It may be noted here that all the arrested smugglers hailing from Mallavaram village in Renigunta mandal. A case was registered.
