Visakhapatnam adjudged the best performing municipal corporation
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh has secured the third position in the best performing State category in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Instituted by MoHUA, the annual awards for excellence in implementation of PMAY-Urban in 2019 were broadly classified into three levels in various categories.
Further, the State also was selected for 'Project Monitoring Tools', 'Innovative Construction Technology' and under special award category, Visakhapatnam as the best performing municipal corporation category.
The Central Government's Department of Housing and Urban Affairs has announced the awards for 2019. In connection with this, the Andhra Pradesh government has bagged the best performance in three categories. Awards will be delivered via video conference on New Year Day.
