About 140 people who fell ill on Saturday were discharged from the hospital. However, the number of people being admitted to hospitals due to illness is also increasing. As many as 46 victims have been admitted to government hospitals since this morning and another 60 are being treated at private hospitals. Those who showed symptoms on Saturday night have been admitted to hospitals since this morning. The causes of the disease have not yet been confirmed by doctors.

Authorities collected blood samples from the victims and sent them for testing. He said the test results would come this afternoon. Doctors said people were being admitted to hospitals with symptoms such as epilepsy and dizziness and the condition of the victims was stable. Two of them were shifted to Vijayawada for better treatment. People in Kothapeta, Tapimestri Colony, Ashok Nagar, Tangallamudi and Arundhatipeta areas of Eluru fell ill while authorities have set up medical camps and control rooms in the area and are reviewing the latest situation from time to time.

Meanwhile, Medical Health Minister Alla Nani visited the victims at the Eluru Government Hospital and inquired about their well-being. A control room has been set up at the Eluru Municipal Corporation office along with medical camps in the areas where the victims are being treated. More medical teams are coming from Vijayawada for examination.
