Diwali fireworks in Pithapuram mandal of East Godavari district led to a huge fire accident in Lakshmi Narsapuram. The owner of the poultry farm complained that they had suffered a loss of about Rs 4 lakh. Upon learning of the information, firefighters arrived at the scene and tried to contain the blaze, but the damage had already been done.

On the other hand, a huge fire broke out at the Navabharat Transport warehouse in Begumbazar under Sainath Ganj police station at midnight. The fire broke out when the rocket bombs fired during the Diwali festival fell on the cable wires in the warehouse. As soon as the matter was known, the fire brigade and Sainath Ganj police reached the spot and put out the blaze with two fire engines. The warehouse owner said that no casualties were reported in the accident and property worth Rs 3 lakh was damaged.

It is also learnt that during the Diwali festival, fire broke out at various other places in the state. As a result, they suffered heavy property damage and loss of life here and there. A man was killed in an accident while firing crackers. The tragic incident took place on Saturday night in Krishna district. One person was killed and another seriously injured while burning crackers in Bapulapadu mandal Veeravalli.
