Vizianagaram: The AP contributory pension scheme employees demanded the state government to abolish the contributory pension scheme and make justice to the employees.

Addressing the meeting attended by a huge number of employees here on Sunday, AP Employees association state president R Appala Raju reminded the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy about his assurance given during elections.

"The CM assured that he would wind up the CPS and bring back the old pension system. The government is simply passing the time by appointing committees to study on the issue. Even the committee headed by former chief secretary Thakkar also clearly submitted its report by mentioning that state government can take decision on abolishing of CPS. However, the government is intentionally testing the patience of the employees," he said. Raju said the employees would intensity fight with the government and planned to stage dharna and state-level meeting at Vijayawada on December 10 to chalk out future course of action. He appealed to employees to participate in the meeting in large numbers and released a poster in this regard.
