After announcing the Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital, Jagan's government is looking for lands in the city. The government has issued a GO to this extent for land acquisitions to built the houses for the poor. In this backdrop, Jagan Mohan Reddy has focussed on the lands belonging to Waltair club. However, the TDP leaders are expressing their outrage over the latest development.

Meanwhile, TDP Vishakhapatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao made interesting comments about Walter's club. He believes that it is better if the government adopts a positive attitude towards the Waltair club as the club has become the part of life for the people of Visakhapatnam ever since its inception in 1883 under the ancient name of Waltair.

"With the pleasant atmosphere and climatic conditions, everybody in the city has associated with it strongly, many academics, socialists, patriots, experts in various fields have a good bonding with Waltair," Ganta wrote in Twitter.

"Given this sensitivity and public sentiment over the city I believe the government will take necessary steps to retain the Waltair club," the former minister tweeted.
