District collector and GMC special officer Kona Sasidhar said that there was a chance that Guntur city can be developed as a global city.

Guntur: District collector and GMC special officer Kona Sasidhar said that there was a chance that Guntur city can be developed as a global city. He addressed a meeting held at GMC office in Guntur city on Thursday, on the occasion of releasing of Guntur Coffee Table book, which contains history of district and important tourism places.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Guntur Coffee Table book was published with a view to explain history of important places in the district in an easy language. He said the book contains information about the Undavalli Caves, Kondaveedu Fort and other important places in the district.

GMC commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar said that they have been trying to publish the Guntur Coffee Table book for the last two years and added that they have mentioned the problems of the city in the book. He said they have given full details of important historical structures in the book and felt it was very useful. ITC CEO Sanjeev Rangraj, general manager V Venkata Rami Reddy, GMC additional commissioner AVNS Murthy were present.
