Identify village-wise government lands, tahsildars told Collector
West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the tahsildars to identify village-wise government lands and submit reports at the earliest.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the tahsildars to identify village-wise government lands and submit reports at the earliest. He convened a videoconference with officials from district headquarters on different administrative issues here on Wednesday.
He asked the tahsildars to specify the kind of government land and based on which he would conduct field inspection. If any mistakes observed during inspection, the concerned officials would have to face departmental action, he warned.
During survey of lands, the officials should identify the vacant lands feasible for distribution of house site pattas to the poor. The Collector enquired the municipal commissioners about the training to village volunteers.
He also reviewed arrangements for test to be conducted for recruitment of staff for newly coming up village secretariats. He asked ZP CEO to supervise arrangements as about two lakh candidates would attend for the test in the district.He also referred to various issues in the videoconference. Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy accompanied him.
