Visakhapatnam: The IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has forecasts hotter-than-normal summer temperatures this year in AP in its wether outlook for March to May.

The weather outlook predicts that the temperatures are likely to be more than one degree Celsius above normal. The IMD warned that the extreme heat waves would prevail in the mid-summer across the state. The experts tell that the maximum temperatures will be recorded above 45 degrees. The intensity of summer will begin from March 2nd week.

According to the IMD, the heat waves will start from May 1st week. It's relaxing that the temperatures will be lower compared with the last year, but suggested to take all precautionary measures whenever going out under the hot sun. The high temperatures are expected to be recorded across South Coastal line and Rayalaseema region for the maximum number of days.
