Kakinada: Collector permits 7 reaches for sand quarrying in EG
As a contingency plan for supply of sand to the needs of construction activity, 7 new reaches were permitted to operate with immediate effect in East Godavari district.
Kakinada: As a contingency plan for supply of sand to the needs of construction activity, 7 new reaches were permitted to operate with immediate effect in East Godavari district. Orders permitting these reaches have been issued by Collector D Muralidhar Reddy on Wednesday.
These are Kapileswarapuram, Korumilli 2 and Kothapeta –Kedarlanka reaches in Kapileswarapuram mandal. Besides these Pasuvullanka 2 in I Polavaram mandal, Atreyapuram 2 in Atreyapuram mandal, P Gannavaram and Jonnalanka reaches in P Gannavaram mandal.
Those who got environmental clearances and permissions can operate at the reaches. It is stated that these new 7 reaches will function in addition to the reaches at Kurumilli in Kapileswarapuram mandal. As part of it, the Collector directed the sub-collector and RDOs concerned to start operations in these reaches with immediate effect.
